A project for everyone: Add lines 2,4 and 6 on your W2. Write that number down. Hang it someplace you'll see it everyday. How hard did you work for it? How much time did you have to put in? How many hours away from your family were you to earn that money.
Think about that number when you need make a mortgage or car payment. Think about that number when you have to put a purchase off for a while so you can save. Think about that number when you go into a voting booth.
